In 1991, R.E. Phillips established itself as Western Canada’s pioneer in gate automation by introducing CAME Gate Automation to the Canadian market. In 2008, PowerGate Access Systems acquired R.E. Phillips’ gate automation division and has since grown into Western Canada’s premier wholesale distributor of automated entrance solutions.

Based in Richmond, British Columbia, PowerGate specializes in distributing and servicing a comprehensive range of premium European and North American brands including NICE, CAME, HySecurity, LiftMaster, and GDI. As a family-owned business with over 30 years of industry experience, PowerGate provides automated gate systems, traffic barriers, overhead door operators, access control systems, and specialized hardware for residential, commercial, and industrial applications.
